On August 4, The Wall Street Journal published an essay titled "The Coming War Over Taiwan." It said -

"For the past decade, China's factories have churned out ammunition and put warships to sea faster than any country since World War II.

The People's Liberation Army (PLA) regularly practices missile strikes on mock-ups of Taiwanese ports and U.S. aircraft carriers...

The regime has issued bloodcurdling threats toward the island and countries that might come to its aid. "Those who play with fire will perish by it," Mr. Xi told President Joe Biden last month.

Senior U.S. officials warn that China may attack Taiwan in the coming months. No one can say you didn't see it coming.

I don't play he markets but they see the activity way before most.
China attacking Taiwan - may still come about - not tomorrow or next week
but it will happen eventually. China wants to rule those lands and wants
it bad enough to take it - at some time not so long in the future.
What will the US due? I don't think much if anything they don't want
tangle with China - and Russia had better keep their eye on China as
well it's not going to happen anytime soon - but China like I said wants
Taiwan.
