My all-time favorite full-auto "fun gun" is the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR).

Problem was, when I was younger, I was a "light-weight"...tall and thin.

That BAR would scoot me backwards along the ground in prone full auto fire!

I had to crook my right knee and gouge a hole in the ground with my heel to "anchor" me while I fired. :D

With AP rounds that BAR would just eat a hole through masonry.

What is your LAW on owning machine guns ...I thought you were not allowed to have them, only with a special permit?

Our Federal law regulates their TRANSFER, not possession.

US$200 transfer tax every time it changes ownership, along with background checks, fingerprints and related bureaucratic paperwork. :)

Gonna have to plan a vacation in OK! Damn, that looks like fun!

It is GREAT fun!

But, yeah, to do that you'll prolly have to leave Massachusetts (the cradle of America's 2nd Amendment). :D

The last time I fired a machine gun was back in '72 in the AF. If you scored 90+ out of 100 qualifying with an M-16 you got to hang around and fire the "extra" weapons, like a .50 cal, a BAR, a Thomson .45, etc. That was a lot more fun than the qualifying. It's amazing how the adrenalin gets flowing.

I love the smell of cordite in the morning;...smells like...victory!
