Dear Lt.
Your a good man remembering Frank. I too wish Frank a Happy Birthday and just know that he and Andy having one heck of a party up there. Keith Hixson just left my house he came with his wife Susan and their Granddaughter Shelby this afternoon. They were here in Massachusetts and took the time to come and see me. God bless to all. Annette (Andy's other half) |
Shirley and I send our love. We think of you often and hope you are doiing OK. We were up on Roan Mountain today and we passed the spot where Tom, Andy and I laid down and watched the clouds go by. Somebody had stuck some little American flags there. I have no idea why.

Rest in Peace Andy and Frank.
May God Bless, Larry |
Hey Annette!
Nice that the Right Rev. Keith stopped in to see you. He's a good man. Deb and I think of you often and I will be calling soon. Sounds like your doing well. Keep seeing Andy's cousin....has he ever called or anything???
Love you kiddo! Fred, got an unbelievable visualization when I read your post. I would give anything to be lying there again with you and Andy. It is a beautiful memory. How beautiful those little flags must look. See you in about 5 days. Pack |
Annette
Hide any wine you may have. Paco Tom the Baptist wine taster will make any excuse to get to your wine.

Hi Guys and Gals,
Thanks for you good wishes. Andy would be happy he's being thought of. He's in a happy place now. He is missed by many but I'm sure he and Frank are having a lot of fun up there. God bless all of you, Annette |
Annette
It's good to hear from you, but watch out for that self-proclaimed therapist, Rev. Keith, he still insists I need help but he never gives me any.....
Think of Andy often especially when I'm on the mountain. We had some great times together!!!! :) |
Annette,
glad to see you posting. Kath and I think of you often and hope all is well.
R.I.P., Frank and Andy. You are missed. |
Annette,
Sorry I missed this earlier.

Andy was truly one of a kind (the best kind) and absolutely unforgetable. Thanks, Annette, for sharing him with us. Great to see his call-sign again. Be well.

God has it been five years already!!!
DMZ - its hard to believe its been that long already. My respects to all of Frank's friends and family. I never met the man himself but I'm sure with friends like you all he must have been one hell of a guy. My hat's off to those who hold the memory of fellows like Frank.
God be with you all on this day of remembrance. Right Hand Salute to you Frank and by the way keep an eye for the rest of us as our day's are numbered and eventually we too will join those who've moved on. |
Andy's passing I recall
Andy and I didn't meet but we did talk on the phone. I felt then we had bonded to some degree and talking with him was a great honor. My respects to his friend and family as well.
It's very difficult to reflect on those having met the maker of us all - but I know in my heart his suffering is over and his memory (like Frank's) stay's with us all our days. Passing the torch is one way of looking at it. I've told my kids that when I go they now have to carry the torch until they pass it along to their kids. This is life and we can't change this progression. My best wishes to all and to those who are suffering I will pray for you and I would hope you would pray for me. Ordeals are many but life comes but once to us all. God Speed. |
Time,...
...
...Time will never diminish the memories shared by those closest to us,... ...I think of ANDY everyday, and the wing he held me under in 04,... ...Amen, and rest in peace,... ... |
Hey LT,
I'm a little late to the party. Thanks for keeping a fire lit to honor Frank's memory. My hip has been remembering a hot lz we got inserted (more like dumped) in. No one alerted us of the possibility of elephant grass in the lz. What looked like a 6 foot jump off the skid ended up being more like 16 feet. Of coarse with so much adrenalin and testosterone collectively concentrated in one area no was injured, although we were all about 3 feet shorter till we cleared the lz. It's only years later that the side that took the full impact of that jump with around 70lbs of kit remind me quite painfully at times of another one we lived through. Amazing grace huh? Hey Frank, Happy belated Birthday! You are missed and will always be remembered. Doc Urb |
