I'll be on the horn to Joe Wilson's office to find out why he voted against Veterans in a time of war. I voted against him in November and I didn't even know who was running against him. He's the one that when I wrote to him about taking SS away from 100% Vets, he wrote back about how SS is safe for the elderly and all this other shit that didn't have anything to do with the question. Kucinich is a nut case and hates Veterans. He is out of the Anti-War movement of the 60-70's. He isn't a traitor, he's an asshole. Thanks again for the info. J.E.B |

I voted against my Congressman, Republican Mike Billirakus, last election and I told him why at a town hall meeting he held in my hometown this past October. Many, many other veterans at that meeting told him the same thing. He had been voting against increased funding for the VA for the past few years and we were tired of it.
He barely won the last election by just a few hundred votes. But, I think he got the message. He voted FOR this latest increased funding measure the other day along with the other 56 representatives from the republican side of the aisle. I sent him an E-mail thanking him for his support, along with a reminder that this was just ONE vote, and that me and the others at that townhall meeting would be watching his future votes very carefully. |
Good for you and the other guys, and good for him for listening. Wilson here won pretty easy, but you wait until the next townhall type meeting. I will try and bring as many vets as I can find. Since he doesn't have much competition, a show of force and a helpful press just might get him to change his mind.
